Will John McCain drop Sarah Palin as a running mate?  Would you be willing to bet some money on it?  That’s exactly what Intrade,  a company based in Dublin, hopes you will do.  Intrade is an online betting market where people can bet money on just about everything, from the probability of McCain dropping Palin, as mentioned above, to whether Britney Spears will go to rehab or not.  In case you were wondering what the odds of Mccain dropping Palin are, the wager opened at a probability of just 3%, with the odds climbing to a high of 18% and have since settled at around 12%.

This news makes one wonder what other political bets could be opened up.  These wagers seem to be limited only by the imagination so I took some time to come up with some of my own bets.

1. If McCain wins, will he live long enough to fulfill a presidential term?

2. Better yet, will McCain live long enough to see the 2008 election?

3. Will Sarah Palin nude photos show up on the net?

4. Better yet, will a Sarah Palin sex tape show up on the net?
